It's a big day...the KitchenAid kind

SO......I finally got a KitchenAid Mixer!!! And yes, it is pink. I broke my mom's mixer on some cream cheese frosting, so I decided it was time to take the plunge-and it was/is totally worth it!

I decided to break in the mixer with a batch of mini banana cupcakes and cream cheese frosting. yum yum!

how cute are these liners!?

A special shout out to Caleb Jackson for working with the look of my blog. He's an amazing artist! Check him out at http://mrcjdesigns.blogspot.com/

Strawberry Sensations

I made strawberry cupcakes with fresh strawberries and vanilla icing, along with strawberry covered chocolate cupcakes. These were for another friend at work and her daughter's 16th birthday. I love how they turned out!

Both batters pre oven

They were very PINK

cute Cute CUTE!

Holy Cupcakes, Batman!

I made these chocolate and white cupcakes with vanilla icing for a friend at work. Her little boy's birthday was a batman theme, and he shared these cupcakes with his schoolmates. I think they're pretty cute.

Strawberry Covered Chocolates

Chocolate cupcakes with strawberry cream cheese frosting-a definite new favorite icing. I made it with real strawberries. Amazing!

YUM

The final product! Everyone at work raved about these.

Surprise Cookie Cupcakes

I don't know what to think about these cupcakes. You make chocolate chip cookie dough to roll into a small ball. You freeze the chocolate chip cookie balls for at least 2 hours and then drop them into the cupcake batter. When you bite into them there's a cookie surprise! I frosted with both chocolate and vanilla. I'm still not sure which one went best. It was a fun experiment nonetheless.

I may or may not have eaten quite a few of these

See the cookie? My boss and her husband tried them out for me.

Razzberry Yocakes

These cupcakes were an experiment. I found a cupcake recipe in a book my sister got me for Christmas and added my own twist....raspberry yogurt. They were light, fluffy and YUMMY! Topped with a favorite vanilla icing recipe. Perfection!

The batter had an interesting texture to it...

Close up. Aren't they cute!?

My first victim :) Thanks Mary!

With SPRINKLES!

My honey is always so sweet to eat my cupcakes.

Let them eat cupcakes!

This is a start to my journey in eventually having my own business. I love baking, and i LOVE cupcakes! It's been a dream of mine to own my own cupcake shoppe, and I pray that comes true one day. Meanwhile, enjoy these posts on the cupcakes I bake and decorate, and comment away!
